...Все виды ремесел требуют особых навыков, но ни в одной отрасли человеческой деятельности не соединяется столько различных специальных свойств, как в хирургии.

Тут нужны четкость и быстрота пальцев скрипача и пианиста, верность глазомера и зоркость охотника , способность различать малейшие нюансы цвета и оттенков, как у лучших художников, чувство формы и гармонии тела, как у лучших скульпторов, тщательность кружевниц и вышивальщиц шелком и бисером, мастерство кройки, присущее опытным закройщицам и модельным башмачникам, умение шить и завязывать узлы двумя - тремя пальцами, на большой глубине, т.е. проявляя свойства профессиональных фокусников и жонглеров...
